The good news is the trip wasn’t a waste. I got face time with some funders and did an interview in front of the department of Ed.

It’s Friday and I still can’t believe I went to DC to be lectured at about what it’s like on the ground by a bunch of DC lawyers who then invited Raymond fucking Emanuel to close out day 1.

Happy Friday. The new Michigan House majority haven’t made committee assignments, even to important things like Approps and education approps. But they passed a rule allowing staff to carry g*ns into the capitol.
So glad they have their priorities strait.

Well, the good news is that estimates of our state’s school aid fund for 2025-2026 have us anywhere from nearly $400m to $900million over previous forecasts.
The bad news is we have a Republican house to contend with in the next budget cycle.
