it's possible that the color has "set" and can't be changed even with additional firing, though i don't know quite enough about the chemistry of it to guess more precisely. hopefully the glazes end up more consistent!

was this a bisque or a final fire/to what cone? could have to do with temp regularity shelf-to-shelf, heat flow between items (based on how the kiln was packed), or oxygen flow (vent locations & types). you could test the first with some witness cones next time you run a similar load
