The only way to solve that is by making the buttons harder to press in general. They make clicky button mods for ps4 controllers, those could probably help, I can't imagine they'd be easier to press than membranes (and you get tactile feedback when you're pressing buttons)

The only way to negotiate with ultrawide users is to crop the top and bottom of the screen instead of letting them see further left and right
