No time for sightseeing
The view from the Oxo Tower on the South Bank of the Thames in London, looking north to St Paul's Cathedral. The river water is a little rough with a slight swell. The sky has a few blue patches between the white and grey clouds.

Another favourite canal bridge - the elegant swoop of a snail or snake turn-over bridge, designed for horse-drawn boats where the towpath swaps to the other side. From this point of view the horse goes up and over, round the turn, and under the bridge on the other side, staying connected to the boat

Actress Juliet Stevenson is in a roll top bath, with her brown hair all tied up in a big bun/knot. Her face is completely white with a beauty face pack, and that's all we can see of her. The bathroom has a high, long, window, and on the windowsill is a spare toilet paper roll, some bottles, and a dark green plant cascading down to the floor. A shower curtain with a simple square grid pattern hangs down opposite the plant to frame the scene. Also on the foot end of the bath is a tray partially visible containing soaps and things. Alan Rickman has popped up from under the bath, his hair a little shaggy and dishevelled. His moustache, in contrast, is neat and fulsome. His left arm is draped over the bath and dressed in a dark coat and grey under sleeve.

Each canal in England & Wales has their own character of bridges based on materials available and style of the time. And then there is Drayton Turret footbridge on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal, near Drayton Manor theme park.

The bridge was built like this in the 1830s, long before the theme park.

All change for the Birmingham skyline in the Camp Hill / Bordesley area #canal

This is the Llangollen Canal, a mile or two from the town of Llangollen. Bridge 44W is called Llandyn No2 Lift Bridge, and is usually left open unless the farmer is herding cattle between the fields on each side.

High Church gothic maximalism at Litchfield Cathedral (the triceratops of cathedrals)

Another kind of ship
Original series era curving USS Enterprise corridor. Kirk, in gold yellow command jersey, is striding purposefully towards camera, about to barge Spock (classic science blue jersey) out of the way for not walking fast enough. McCoy (also in science blue) is trying to keep up and say something to the other two.

This is why I use a magnet when dry drilling through ferrous metals, and wear a mask and goggles.
