Exhausted how many times I have to say this but if you want to understand the mindset of these people, who are in control of the entire American government, you need to read Wild Faith by @swordsjew.bsky.social (which I fact checked).

Very neat and informative tips! Will try soon and report back. If my scalp/hair type manages well with it, this could be a game changer for me :)

Ooo, interesting. Is there a rice you've found to work best? Short or long grain white, jasmine, brown, etc? Does the type even matter in your experience?

It's vital that Falco stay housed, especially due to this upcoming heat wave.

Xey are still in need of $635 for rent due tomorrow morning. Please contribute any amount you're able and spread the word.

Much appreciate the suggestion! I've heard of rice water washes but have been hesitant due to concern of not doing it right and being sticky (autistically cannot handle sticky). I will give your instructions a shot for sure tho, now that I have liquid shampoo to unsticky if need be lol

A list of derivatives found in skincare, as a glimpse of what I mean by miles long.

This year at age 27, I finally found a liquid shampoo and conditioner that is 100% safe for me. It's been a life of castile soap and apple cider vinegar rinses before now. It's pricey at $50, though, so I ration it.

Food is an obvious issue, but even disinfect wipes or car fresheners. Most things that the public use in their daily lives could send me into allergen overload and potential anaphylaxis.
The FDA recently removed coconut from allergy lists, too, so everything is even more difficult and expensive.

It's a complex one, for sure. I am not allergic to avocados or bananas, but I am allergic to latex because of the coconut derivatives. The list of coconut derivatives is miles long, almost not an exaggeration.
Everything from personal hygiene, medications, doormats, even the stuffing in mattresses.

As someone with a near life-long workaholic problem, it's a real issue for me. If I could be working, I would be! I used to hold three jobs at once, but the jobs that used to be accessible no longer are.

I wish this wasn't the case for so many of us left behind in the mass disabling event.

Deeply felt. I rely solely on my partner after physically and cognitively declining from covid, doing my best to live as minimally as possible because I know how difficult it is to be a caretaker. My coconut allergy has increased in severity as well, so being in public, even masked, isn't feasible.

The necklace combined with the button of the skirt tie this together so elegantly! Excellent accesorizing :)

No one should go without food or water for any amount of time, but it's especially detrimental to disabled folx. Heat is so hard on the heart.

I empathize so deeply with the fear of the unknown you must be experiencing right now. My words are little consolation, but you are cared about and wanted🩵🩷

I know, that's been at the forefront of my mind these past few days with the heat waves incoming 😟 it's already 105° here and I'm so worried about you.

I'm also allergic to sunscreen! Mine is due to being allergic to coconut, which is in everything.
I have lupus so being outdoors during the day is a non-option at this point, I've always said I don't burn, I boil lol

Heard and felt.
I used to always be cold and still mostly am, but perimenopause and POTS has changed that this year. Even when I'm cold tho, hyperhydrosis causes me to sweat constantly so in heat I dehydrate even quicker.
