Autism is not a disease.
You can’t cure autism.

"Some people don’t care what we want. They want a cure for autism, and they spend a lot of time and money looking for it. This is bad for autistic people. People should spend time and money helping us live good lives."

We need to reframe how we understand autism. It's not a behavioral issue — it's a systems-level neurobiological difference. Supporting autistic individuals means supporting the entire nervous system.

Everyone should have this cookbook! Whether you are ND yourself with food aversions or a NT trying to cook for one, this book is the clearest guide to how to navigate that I have come across. This screenshot is on our fridge for all food related conversations. The food also tastes great!!

We need an Extreme Home Makeover type show but instead of a makeover you just fix all the little things that need doing in a weekend. Please. #signmeup @hgtv.bsky.social

Our statement about RFK’s dangerous lies about a “cure” for autism was featured on Rachel Maddow last week.

In 2013, the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) made a change allowing someone to be diagnosed with both Autism and ADHD.

Despite the commonality of co-occurrence, a person could only be diagnosed with one or the other prior to 2013.

Some current diagnostic prevalence changes are due to that.

#booksky: if you like thrifting books and use thriftbooks, i highly recommend switching to betterworldbooks! they have similar prices and actually donate part of their profits to literary/literacy initiatives and libraries! they also use their profits to help donate books to those in need. 💙📚

My Canadian fam can still see all the US content and profiles. No new posts but they can like. This makes the wrong even wronger, doesn’t it? #tiktokban

The day after. I agree with @tallgirl6234.bsky.social. We don’t go back to toxic relationships. But I am grieving the loss of all my collections with such valuable information and all the time and labour that went into creating them and finding my community. It is unjust.

What if we just didn’t go back to TikTok? The ghosting, the lack of care—it’s giving toxic. Trump “saving us”? Yikes. What if we stay here, chill on YouTube, and look for a platform that treats us right? Feels like time for a healthier digital relationship.
