Living in a small house in the woods.
Interested in many things, including renewable energy, healthcare for all, basic income for all, freedom from discrimination for all, including trans folks.
Specific people, some with money, made it their hobby to get us all here. This is a conflict initiated by people who don't want to coexist with trans people.

So, okay. When WI does whatever, some of us will still be around. Some of us will still be functional. Some of us will be employed, will have found community, will have accessed healthcare, whether legal or not.

WI can congratulate the ones who are left.

Historically "we'll come back for you" has often been a convenient lie.

Maybe they're making a tactical withdrawal. Maybe it's that or die. Don't expect a lot of sweetness from those who don't have that option. You should not be surprised when we're bitter. We know the drill.

Sure. I acknowledged that people have put them in an awkward spot. The same people and people like them are hard at work everywhere making life more difficult -- sometimes lethal -- for trans people. This is not an unfamiliar dynamic.

"Importantly, reasonable suspicion means only that
immigration officers may briefly stop the individual and
inquire about immigration status. If the person is a US
citizen or otherwise lawfully in the United States, that
individual will be free to go after the brief encounter."

“This has been a very difficult year for everybody, particularly for the transgender community, but I hope that when that anger subsides the transgender community will know that we stand with them.”

From the article: “My hope is that the message that the transgender community gets from this is not one of betrayal, but is one of our desire to continue to maintain those friendships and that support,” she said.

I liked how Chelmsford Scouts stepped up. Perhaps WI members should think of joining the Fawcett Society. Membership req: be a person. So simple!
