For those considering letting up on Disney/ABC on account of Kimmel coming back, that energy can and should be turned full force toward Nexstar and Sinclair. They weren’t cowed into this, they did it gleefully.

I've spent hours writing my PhD inquiries to the point of re-reading books to make sure I fully understand the professor's point. (AKA, so I don't embarrass myself). And people are out here doing this 😭, that's so shameful.

Yeah, and it's important to discuss because it's clear it won't be going away, even if it gets heavily restricted due to copyright law.
I know the archive world has been a bit more perceptive to the conversation, though there's still vastly different opinions all around.

From what I've seen, it's a lack of understanding of assistive AI vs generative AI. Using AI to organize your notes, make documents readable, etc., is not what many people get concerned about. The issue is when people use AI to generate writings and artwork, which actively steal from creators.
