Having a robust social safety net is not the same as socialism as an economic system. A democratic socialist is more akin to a social democrat in Europe.

That's easy for you to say. There are many federal employees who live paycheck to paycheck and are facing financial disaster if they don't get paid soon.

Stainless steel should work just fine. For us, all of our cookware except for the cheap aluminum junk works fine- including stainless and our ceramic coated cast iron Dutch oven. I feel there is better control than gas.
