🇦🇪Ahmed Mansoor, known as the UAE’s “last human rights defender”, has had a 15 year prison sentence upheld. He was still serving time on another sentence when he was sentenced again in July 2024. Mansoor has spent much of his time in prison, since 2017, in isolation.

The death of the French-Algerian teenager triggered massive protests & unrests against longstanding racist policing. This was met with heavy repression by the authorities.
