public transport can be a bit of a nightmare. But I'll put up with that for the sheer quality and variety and affordability of the entertainment available. I know some people think it's expensive, but there are bargains to be had if you look! I'm going to highlight some of my favourites.

comment on the entire cast, but it would probably come across as gushing. I guess I'm not a good critic, as I don't have anything to pull apart. After the show I did hear a couple of audience members suggest that it was a bit too Glaswegian - which probably means it was just right. I would go again🌟

Wild Rose is joy from start to finish. It's impossible not to love Dawn Sievewright's version of Rose-Lynn, despite her character's very obvious flaws. Blythe Duff is perfect as her long-suffering mother, looking after the grandchildren who both had a lot to say, and both were word perfect. I could

was entertaining at times. There were two moments that I laughed out loud. But really it was a fairly self-indulgent look at the first two years of parenthood by two women that are privileged and well supported. The second half was taking questions from the audience. I decided to leave at that point

what Stacey and the host, Jamie have experienced in their short time as mothers, with two small mentions of women from the book. The host, who is a make up artist, not a presenter, treated like a chat with a friend. In fact I suspect we heard more from her than we did from Stacey. It certainly

unexpected and very satisfying ending. But was it scary? Most of the audience were laughing more than screaming (I'm not sure that the comedy was intentional) although I did see one audience member say she thought it was scary as she was leaving. I'll give it a generous 3/5. #theatre #edinburgh
