I read this by @ravoon.bsky.social the other day and it slotted exactly into a little jagged rotten piece of me. I love it.
To The Quick Drank a quart of whisky neat. Hoped to drop. Stayed on my feet. Used the mirror by my bed every morning; still not dead. Talked at friends, hour after hour, Calmly logical, if sour. Felt no damage, felt no pain, however loudly I’d complain. But time is sharp: only that cut from the heart its veil of fat.
