DOGE fired all IMLS employees and closed down their emails. It is assumed all funding for 2025 coming from the federal agency will not be happening.

i used to specialize in teaching private lessons to adult beginners, and some of them got IMMENSELY frustrated at first when they couldn't make "perfect" music quickly. But that was almost always quickly turned into utter joy when they finally got down a skill or a piece they'd been working on.
