Open up this picture fully.

Then look at the surface of Mars.

Then look up to the top right.

Spot Mars' moon Phobos high in the sky.

Then notice the bright spot beside Phobos.

That's Earth.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

The best way to check if Cloudfare is down is to try one of these "is this thing down for everyone or just me" websites.
They're all on Cloudfare so none of them will reply.

Watched The Professionals (1966) over the weekend. For a traditionally made flick, it’s almost a revisionist zapata western. Great dialogue, excellent pacing and cinematography. The musical score is the only less than stellar aspect of it. 9/10

RIP Val Kilmer. An incredibly talented and idiosyncratic character actor who got type cast as a leading man because he was gorgeous.

I miss when it was socially acceptable to grab a vending machine at the top corners and rock it until you got your legal tender worth.
Doesn't work? Give it a WHACK and that'll do it.

Please, please archive your work. Please. I’ve recently been saving lots of my essays as pdfs just so the Internet doesn’t suddenly delete them all (this happened to a whole load of blogs I wrote for The Independent years ago). I don’t want you to wake up and suddenly find your work gone like I did.
