2026 goal: 365 miles running. Average 1 mile per day. It's been done before, even by me.

I wonder what would have to happen for announcers to give the same accolades/credit to Detroit that they give any Detroit opponent.

Having attended law school in Texas with classmates who attended both schools in undergrad, I can sincerely say that the only fan base more obnoxious than University of Texas is Texas A&M.
Because Aggies fans have all the smug of Longhorns fans, with a healthy inferiority complex to overcompensate.

At some point, American students will be studying this period of U.S. history the same way Germans study the 1930s.

Sadly, for all the beneficial things the Biden administration accomplished, I think history will judge its (apparent) unwavering faith in the democratic process vice active prosecution of the most key elements (e.g. the insurrection, et al) as a position of cowardice and taint his legacy

If history has shown us nothing else, it's shown that a charismatic person with design on self aggrandizement and supported by stooges can wrest power from any guardrails by exploiting those very institutions charged with safeguarding them.

The president elect's threats of a tariff in apparent contravention of the USMCA are either a true threat (and by extension an arguable crime or, it's a negotiating tactic that is "clear" to those in the know, which makes no real sense.

Watching the incoming president over the past 4 years reminds me of Jeff George's days as a backup quarterback. Spent all the time talking about what he perceived were mistakes by the starter, but not giving any specific on what he'd do differently. Then he gets in and stinks because he has no plan.

This. This needs to be repeated ad infinitum.
Getting his cases dismissed does NOT exonerate Trump from his criminal culpability for January 6th.

Watching morning joe captor should demonstrate for the critical thinking crowd that there is no "liberal media." There really hasn't been for years, but the myth persists.
