But if you cut FICA tax by 25-55% and then added this in I think it would be a net win for everyone. Especially if it was simply just unaccessible till 65. You could even stack it to say its money for you when you retire, but if you don't use it all it goes back into the pot or something.

Yeah, but the fed in this case is seeding it with 1k automatically. Some people do that for there kids, but most don't. I think its just incentivizing retirement path out of SSI. The kicker is what happens to FICA if they just reduced it to cover for volititliy again not the worst thing.

But............ Wall Street will move to securitize this super quick and then speculate and borrow against it. So you would have to kick the fees out and you probably still need SSI at the end of the day to cover the people who retire during market chaos.

That adds up quick. Assuming they are taking a standard fee its a nice 5ish billion a year once it gets going. You would need to regulate their risk exposure to make sure it matters for those who will come to rely on it eventually.

I would allow it if it got an NFL style hard knocks TV show treatment.

It's all so insane. Only reason this system exists is for greed.

A fun fact is that the diner next to the pool in the bottom right became a grocery store for the community during the pandemic. They would take orders from the community, buy the stuff in bulk, and then hand it out socially distant to people.

Will say I am 100% against social media for kids as long as they can be kept away from it. Hopefully, that will all burn down when my kids are old enough to care.

I have an 8, 6, 3, and newborn. We are pretty strict with screen time during the week but pretty loose on the weekend. It seems to work out pretty well.

I worked from home so there really was not a ton of errands that needed doing since we used grocery pickup. Suburban sprawl is bad, but effective design can reinvent the suburbs too.

Its way easier to keep tabs on a bunch of kids playing on a street or a culdesac than it is in any urban environment

I used to live in this neighborhood and there were five parks in within about 5 mins of walking. Everyone of these stars was at most a 15 minute walk away. I couldn't walk to the grocery store, but I could ride my bike there in about 10 mins.

I have met some really smart people at AZ16. Marc was not one of them.

They have always been at odds with each other, they both just believe they can beat the other when the time comes.

Do you think he pretended to be moderate in the first place or the power corrupted him? Cause I legit don't understand his pivot over the last few years.
