I feel pretty confident that America is on a collision course towards its own version of the troubles. Which of course will be way more violent because Americans are far more violent than your average person.

I am genuinely tired of opening a social media app and seeing a person get murdered. It's an awful thing that social media just seems to accept now.

Knew he was dead immediately from that video. That was a big boy rifle and since they don't have anyone arrested yet someone probably pretty throughly trained with it.

This isn't a terrible idea on paper, but this is basically guaranteed revenue for wall street by giving them ~3.5 billion annually in new accounts to charge fees on for a sweet 65+ years per person.

I have a really awesome employer so my insurance covered it. But I just got the explanation of benefits from when my son was in the NICU for five weeks and he ran up a bill of 225k before discounts. His case was mild by comparison I don't know how people are surviving financially with NICU babies.

I am super pro-walkable high/medium-density urban neighborhoods, but their value decreases with the more kids you have. HOAs suck, but giant master plan communities actually solve a lot of the same issues that urban walkable neighborhoods do.

I don't really know how we do that without a civil war.
Many of these people are so thoroughly intellectually toasted I am not sure there is a way to reign them back in, other than hoping they're all cowards.

Being a willing learner equals intelligence. I have worked with numerous ivy league grads, grown boy genius millionaires who sold companies to Microsoft at 16. With few exceptions none of them are any smarter than the call center teams filled with barely graduated teenagers I used to supervise.
This is your reminder that the Silicon Valley Tech elites are not uniquely smart or capable. They all hopped in bed with Trump thinking he wouldn't do something like this.

If humanity could just coordinate we have an extremely low tech solution to just get rid of some diseases. It will always shock me in the age of easily spreadable information we don't work together to just get rid of diseases this way.
