anyway. could there be any doubt? resounding 10. best album in the discography, even with Around The World And Back, it’s really not that close. if you’re a pop punk enthusiast, you have to catch these records!!

I have to keep going, sorry. Silver Cloud may be my new favorite song of theirs. Clueless always has me in stitches, college me can absolutely relate. really that whole first half is super anthemic, catchy, and bursting with energy.

the most recent record, not even two months old. fuck me, man. zero skips. this one is solid gold. I see why so many people had it on their Wrapped. the whole first half of this album is just fuckin ridiculous. they’re all must-listens. and the back half barely pulls the punch.

didn’t drop another regular album for four years, but a welcome return with The New Age Of Kings (sick album art too). this is the State Champs I remember! Everybody But You and Outta My Head are instant ear worms. not as complete an album, but I wasn’t zoning out. dicey 8.

this one was kind of a letdown after Around The World And Back, ngl. the middle third just doesn’t do it for me. but I’ll be fair, the highlights are as high as ever with tracks like Dead And Gone and Cut Through The Static. plus the Mark Hoppus feature is pretty dope. mild 6.

and now the 2014 follow-up, Around The World And Back. this was what got me into State Champs initially. basically no skippable songs here. too many highlights to list in so few characters. Perfect Score and Secrets probably top the track list for me. an edging 9. you’ll see why.

State Champs came onto the scene with this debut record, The Finer Things, in 2013. some really good cuts on this one, Remedy and Deadly Conversation are my personal faves. I do always get the sense some musical punches are being pulled, I chalk that up to youth. strong 7 for me.

gonna start cranking that line in wacced out murals juuuuust a little louder now. maybe I’ll roll down the windows for it, too. just so nobody’s mistaken about my feelings on Andrew Schulz.

I have no idea why people act like the national debt is as simple as a credit card or 30 year mortgage where you just need to "live within your means."

This shit is incredibly complex and oh by the way, one can also increase their cash flow to solve the problem of a deficit.
