This statement is like saying "Debbie the cashier at the corner store won the mega millions, therefore some cashiers can outperform CEOs."

It entirely ignores the probabilities and outcomes to make a statement that means nothing in the larger context. Breakout indie darlings aren't new, just rare.

doug ford put us on the hook for $1 billion to get booze in corner stores 1 year earlier than planned

meanwhile our schools are doing this:
Toronto District School Board (TDSB) proposes closing pools and cutting music instructors (aka certified teachers) to make a $70M budget short fall.

The province has reduced per student funding by $1300/student/year since Doug Ford came into power.

Elections Ontario is hiring right now for literally hundreds of jobs for the upcoming election. There are roles that are election-day-only, and office jobs during much of the next month. Some are on computers (but not remote), others are paperwork.

I wrote this post about the illusion that indie is a 'superior development style' about a week ago and waffled on whether or not it was still relevant enough to post. Aftermath putting up a podcast on the same topic today convinced me to finally shove it out the door.
