That's because the truth is:

It's not an armed conflict.
The laws of war thus don't apply.

The more restrictive rules of human rights apply.
It's extrajudicial killing under that law.

I completely understand that objection. I am not joking when I say she objected to my opening question of “please state your name for the record” with a form objection.

I had an OC who objected to every question for form no matter what. Finally I started making her state her basis for the objection more fully. That shut her up. But. Geez are people awful in these things.

A technical win in the best type of win. It’s evidence beyond the facts of the case whether you are an attorney who can do their job with competence. It’s legitimately my favorite way to win cases.

It’s an ouroboros of incompetence. It’s incompetence all the way down.

Hang on, as @klasfeldreports.com notices, the Comey dismissal may be without prejudice, but the judge ruled that the original indictment was *invalid*, and notes that an invalid indictment doesn't toll the statute of limitations. She thinks the statute has passed.
