The pay is awful. Much is written about veteran homelessness, poverty, mental health, & cultural reasons for low enlistment. Rarely do they discuss how awful the pay is or how their benefits are often bungled. No wonder many are homeless. How can you be expected to save money on $28k a year?

Here is one data point. Over 80% of Muslims believe violence toward civilians like suicide bombing is never acceptable. Over half of Americans support bombing of foreign countries even if it kills civilians. Which culture is more violent?

Be kind to the alien, the stranger, the sojourner. Countless scriptures demand kindness for the migrant. There is only one genuine Christian perspective on this issue: kindness & mercy. A good tree produces good fruit. Obedience to God requires you follow His teaching.

It generally tracks by education level. College graduates do better, even better if they have taken a Religious Studies course, etc

This country can be better. We can have a real social democracy that's not constantly derailed by xenophobic nonsense. We can have sensible gun laws that keep firearms out of the hands of mentally unstable people. We can have a country where all students feel safe. It doesn't have to be this way

Euthanasia involving opioids has an abysmal reporting rate. Only 2% of doctors report it. We don’t need to wonder about slippery slope. 98% of euthanasia involving opioids were not reported in the 2005 study they city. My God! Who knows what happened. Runaway elder abuse and murder

Up until recently cases were not even reported. Doctors in the Netherlands could euthanize someone & not even report it.

Then they can asset this asinine nonsense about how we’ve reviewed the data and there is no evidence of “slippery slope.” Nonsense. The study itself shows that there is no transparency, 80% of the cases required review by committees, and they exclude any abuse data as “not euthanasia.” Convenient.
