Unbelievable. I actually managed to get some detail out of Jupiter with my birding lens, although it was only like 6 pixels on the camera sensor.

I tried to shoot the Pleiades (M45) at a Bortle 7 site... Yeah, no... At least there's a bit of dust visible, but the image really doesn't work with colors, hence B&W.

Sirius wasn't visible so I shot Betelgeuse instead. It's a red supergiant so the color variation is quite subtle.
