Mesmerizing clouds one morning last week

It's really cold outside, but that is when you can sometimes admire the stunning sundogs ... This morning there was an entire halo instead of the usual dual effect on either side of the sun of just a bit of very bright "extra suns"

Starting January with one of our Christmas puzzles. My adult kids will finish it in short order, I basically get the bones of it going and enjoy watching them have the satisfaction of completing it.

It wasn't sunny, but the temperature was mild, no wind or precipitation(freezing rain was forecast) and it was so fun to get on my ski's again and share the experience with my daughter. Simple moments, big happy. Also, I didn't fall over trying to get the picture, so that's a win too.

It was lasagna and game night with a sushi appetizer to celebrate the oldest kid's 24th birthday.

Long drive home after a successful curling bonspiel with the kids. They made playoffs - top 13 teams out of 40 very skilled U21 curlers from Western Canada. Very proud of them.

Spent some quality time coloring with my elder house teen the other day. Conversations just flow differently.

Tattoo thoughts. I have three kids. Lost a bet to them (happily, it was related to high achieving goals). Each kid has a sibling related tat. One is sun, one is moon, one is stars. I want to incorporate each of them into my tattoo. Thoughts on this design? Should I add color?

The pathway to the river makes me feel wild and adventurous even though my car is just in the nearby parking lot and I literally used a wooden boardwalk to access this final descent.
