Yeah the same company that made Adventures of Lolo also made Kirby so they just absorbed them into Kirby. Their special move in Air Riders has them pushing around the awesome green blocks (Emerald Framers)

One of the Um Jammer Lammy guides has a page where they just list a bunch of their inspirations for the game's soundtrack and unfortunately the scan online isn't great but, first of all, awesome, second of all, it says so much that the first example they list is Philosophy of the World by The Shaggs
