I played pick-up soccer with a Russian guy one summer. He was working as an independent contractor apparently. At the end of the year, he was pulling stuff out his bag, and he had like 50+ parking tickets.
Was out of town next year. I'm sure nothing was paid. Tickets or taxes.

My family lore is that we were related to Marry Ann Rutledge.
No way to check it afaik, but just because I heard stories of her and Lincoln pre-internet, makes me think there is probably at least truth to the Rutledge-Lincoln love connection.
