seems like some democrats ought to be out there saying this war is illegal without a declaration and that anyone involved will be prosecuted. except most of them are swimming in defense contributions.

in the end the major threat is ourselves. the proximate cause of our destruction will be the struggle for dwindling food resources by countries armed with nuclear weapons. we will likely destroy ourselves before the planet does it via heat or lack of breathable air or something.

and i believe that's actually a thing. i recall reading the lead lobby bought off congress to keep allowing lead in paint and other products.

my folks drove me around in a 1967 Pontiac Catalina when i was a kid. no car seat, of course. big bench seats you'd slide all over the place on if you weren't buckled in.

the Catalina didn't start using unleaded until 1971 (like all GM passenger cars). i'm full of lead and that explains a lot.
