There are apps or you could just be old school and have a physical notebook and write down your workouts. Which exercise you did, how many sets and reps. The following weeks you should be able to see actual progress as you increase resistance.

Trying to change too many things at once can disrupt progress.
Start with one thing, and build your habits in the right direction.

If 45 minutes is when you check out, then that’s your limit. Try to keep it short and efficient for the time you spend there rather than thinking about how long you’re at the gym.
