Thanks for the link. Its's always a good idea to include a link with screenshots. I honestly found it hard to believe this would be posted by them officially. I really like Wani (I know next to nothing about Snoot), so this is very disappointing.

They are not owned by this company. How would it be fundamentally different if they're posting their content on YouTube and getting paid through YouTube? Google is one of the biggest companies in the world. The defense here is that there's a contract, assured income for the studio.

The source of funding doesn't dictate if a studio is independent or not. Who is it owned by? If it's Amazon/Netflix/NBC/etc., then sure, it's not indie. Otherwise, it's still an independent studio and all creative decisions still lie with studio heads.

Do you know what the term "indie" means in this context? If the studio where the content is created is not owned by its distributor, then it's still an independent studio. Just becuase something ends up on Netflix or Amazon doesn't mean the studio is owned by them. Figured you know this.

The lack of professionalism is astounding. It's downright odd how she reacted to feeling hurt. Communication problems happen, projects fall through, this happens in business and in life, but her reaction reads like someone who's still in high school at best.
