We currently know slightly more than 2500 potentially hazardous #asteroids ☄️. Approximately one-third of the 40,000 known near-Earth asteroids have a diameter of 30 to 100 meters, which is likely only about two to three percent […]

New Glenn 2 stage GS2 now in parking orbit. Does anyone know if the 'miles' on the webcast altitude are statute or nautical? Assuming statute, orbit around 160 x 400 km? AFAIK Blue has not reported perigee/apogee

The NewGlenn GS2 stage has been tracked by astronomers in a 315 km perigee hyperbola with C3=0.23 which (preliminary estimate) will send it to a 0.98 x 1.08 AU x 0.1 deg heliocentric orbit (Further observations will refine this assessment)

#newglenn can transport approximately twice the payload into near-Earth orbits compared to #spacex's #Falcon9. The recovered first stage is intended for at least 25 launches 🚀

The #soyuz5 vehicle does not stand out. It has been a decade ⏳ in the making and is fully expendable, unlike a lot of newer medium-lift rockets coming online in the next several years. The Soyuz-5 booster is a slightly larger copy of an older rocket manufactured in Yuzhmash, #ukraine 🇺🇦 […]
