Boston Globe, sometimes EW, others. I basically do homework for a living. He/him/his. Available in dad since 2015. My love language is replies, not likes.
Also, very hats off to this review of ROUND AND ROUND.

I've had decades to connect with Talking Heads' MORE SONGS ABOUT BUILDINGS AND FOOD, and the new Super Deluxe Edition still hasn't made it happen. But hats off to the book, which shows that they sent out branded pocket protectors as promo items at the time. Gotta admit, they knew their audience.

This might not be making the argument that he thinks he's making!

I mean, 1) it's really condescending to demand they be freed just because they didn't vote the way you wanted, 2) who are you to gatekeep who is and who isn't a New Yorker, knock off the scare quotes, c'mon, but mostly 3) this is really disappointing political commentary coming from a library.

This book (published in 1990) compiles crazy and not-so-crazy baseball hypotheticals and how the rules would deal with them. It's 159 pages long. The official 1990 rules take up the last 70 pages.

I took a photo of the hotel TV remote so I could enlarge it to see what one of the buttons was, and it appears that this was a terrible mistake.

Incidentally, if you just did some math in your head and thought, "Hang on, 6-7 bonus songs every time you put out a single? Seems like a lot to ask of an artist!," Loz Hardy of Kingmaker agrees with you!

Look at these Aimee Mann "Stupid Thing" CDs from 1993! Parts 1 and 2 of the same single. You'd think that buying the second would mean sitting it with the first and completing the set. BUT NO. Now you've got a loose, empty case. NO MATTER WHAT, YOU'VE GOT TWO CDS AND THREE SLOTS. Maddening.

My classical-music-loving father inexplicably loves Devo, so I naturally grabbed this for him last night.

Went to Alvarez's Wikipedia to refresh myself on the allegations after seeing that ENGLISH TEACHER had the place of honor in the Hulu landing page last night, and it appears that they've disappeared entirely, replaced by a not-at-all ominous and clumsy blank white patch.
