Trump is testing the GOP senate. Seeing who will dare defy him. He’s trolling them with the worst nominees to see who would put up any resistance to them. I don’t think he cares that much who is AG as long as it’s a loyalist. He wants to know who the institutionalists are, and he’s drawing them out.
