I cannot overstate how devastating these changes will be. They're cruel & fly in the face of decades of research that shows that Housing First as an evidenced based model WORKS (which is no surprise with this administration but infuriating all the same).

Headline is misleading. It’s not a done deal yet. EIR was approved but the project itself still has to get through more approvals. But it’s infuriating that it’s not dead yet. The whole thing is so god damn stupid.

You may have gripes...nobody is perfect, but Newsom has been a great governor. He's an excellent administrator, and if you want to join the circular firing squad which has destroyed progressive politics, be it on you.

It is vital that this history is not forgotten.
Since our fucking government isn’t observing World AIDS Day, I will. In 1990, I started taking care of people in the last stages of AIDS in their homes. I did this for nearly two years. The home care company I worked for had meetings for those of us who solely (or nearly solely) took care of PWAs.
