Unfortunately, we do not realise the hollow nature of words and cling to them as if they were real. As a result, pleasant words are pleasant to us, while unpleasant words irritate us and cause anger. This reaction is evidence: we believe in the reality of words

The concept of the three doshas, which is the basis of Ayurveda, was also known within the Pāli canon. For example, Vata, Pitta and Kapha (Semha) doshas are mentioned.
