I always vote Dem, but yeah I'm going to criticize them because I want them to win
Welp the Times confirmed that the shutdown was a loss for the Dems

My argument is that ignoring the base of the Democratic Party, the overwhelming majority of its voters (77%!), is very very stupid strategy (that is if they want to win).

In a poll of Dems who’d voted in the prior election, actual Dem *voters,* 77% wanted to stop sending Israel weapons.

And now, according to some, we’re not even supposed to address the insane choice dems made to ignore 3/4 of their base!

And they seem to want to do it again!!

This should say “and European migrants who oppose migration.”

8%

Look at the stats. 3/4 of Dem voters definitely means it’s the base.

If he’s being this baldly political what keeps any district with a Trump property in it from retaliating in some legal way?

And she did took that stance despite the fact that 77% of Dem voters wanted to stop sending Israel weapons. It’s time for Dem politicians to listen to the overwhelming majority of the party. It’s insane not to.

Perhaps Harvard should've defended themselves from the very beginning of this.

Here's some of Harvard's response to the Trump administration's accusations:

She made a choice to ignore her voters though. 77% of Dem voters, those who came out and voted for Biden, said they wanted to stop sending Israel weapons.

At the very least, hopefully Dems learn that going against that many members of their base is a very dumb strategy.

the big gap is between young American men and the rest of the country.
September 25, 2025 at 6:55 PM
This is where I got it from. 77% of Dem voters wanted the US to stop sending weapons to Israel.

Purely strategically, how could it possibly have been a good idea to go against this many of your voters and say you’d continue sending weapons?
September 25, 2025 at 6:11 AM
We can blame those who didn’t vote for her, while at the same time recognizing it was a very stupid strategy for Harris to go against the 77% of Dem *voters* who wanted to stop sending Israel weapons. Two things can be true at the same time. They
September 25, 2025 at 2:13 AM
yeah Harris made a really stupid decision to go against such a big majority of actual Dem voters.
September 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM
77% of Democratic voters said they wanted to stop sending arms to Israel, so purely from a strategic POV, she made the wrong choice.

what do you mean they haven't? what election are you even talking about now?

And of course the average white voter would vote for it - you're talking about hundreds of millions of people if you're talking about 77% of Dems.

And, more recent poll, it's the 60% of the entire electorate -
September 9, 2025 at 10:51 PM
well yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. why wouldn't they listen to their base? we're talking about 77% of Dem voters who said they wanted to stop sending weapons to Israel.

purely strategically, pretty stupid to go against that big a portion of your base.

I voted for her. what more do you want from me? I'm just saying I think it's idiotic that she ignored her base on that issue. 77% of Dems wanted to stop sending weapons to Israel. If that cost her the election -- was it really worth it?
September 1, 2025 at 2:32 AM
everyone should have voted for her. huge error not to.

but if you're going to go on and on blaming voters who didn't over the genocide, you have to reckon with her choice to go against the 77% of Dem voters who wanted to stop sending weapons to Israel.

This dark money group fundamentally doesn't understand why influencers have power - authenticity. You can't pay influencers to let go of their authenticity and expect results.
