Anonymised UK policy generalist with far too much experience, especially economic, tax, and international.

In the case of most “celebrities” you would be right, but Jolie is perhaps the most anomalous, she has legitimately done a huge amount in advocating for, and amplifying the voices of people in need. She has used her ‘status’ to do quite a lot of good.

A 'heritage American' is just like any other American, only looks weird and with questionable genetics...

It seems to be written by someone who 'believes' and lives atop Mount Stupid - knowing JUST enough to think they understand, without actually knowing enough to understand their ignorances.

I have another chart is you prefer, but its a bit less easy to read in my opinion, though it shows the same point.

That the Changes in the early 80s strangled off non-private house building. And despite some improvements later in that decade, and from '07 to '12, this diminished role remains.,

And house prices will never fall, when all supply is private

Some of us have been harping on about it for years.

But the systemic failures in the housing market are one of the main reasons politicians scapegoat immigration, instead of admitting domestic policy failure.

My personal favorite chart showing this:

Suicidal ideation is a huge factor of it for me, and it is impossible to express to those who have not experienced it how much it can occupy your mind.

I struggle with this, but am safe

Please reach out to those you care about, the struggle is invisible, and a small act can save them.

irst Past the Post (FPTP) distorts the inputs and outcomes of elections.

Not only do most votes get ignored, but most voters are forced to "vote tactically" rather than for who they actually want.

We need #ElectoralReform.

Possibly, but I am a solid believer in Hanlons Razor - its the closest I get to being religious, my faith in this.

More likely they are lost in the weeds on the topic, and driven by emotion rather than reason.

There is a list of "cognitive distortions" I keep taped above my desk, it helps me spot when I am falling into one

Hanlon's razor applies I suspect, it usually does in politics.
