What the hell is going on? It's mind boggling.

It really is, I just can't understand it. Farage as PM is too dreadful to contemplate. Another Orban, or Fico. Cause? Dark money probably. Oligarchs and autocrats grabbing control.

I don't live there, one of my sisters does, but we're so tied to them in so many ways. We will feel it for sure.

I thought Brexit was the low point of UK politics and perhaps a lesson would have at least have been learned, but no such luck. They're ready to get fooled again; driven by hatred.

And when I say it stinks, I mean what they are doing really smells suspicious. It doesn't seem natural. They're laying in the sort of repressive and illiberal legislation that is really paving the way for autocracy in the UK. Weapons for the right to use once they take power.

The improved fortunes of the Greens really just means a splitting of the left-leaning vote. In a proportional representation voting system, like we have in Ireland, that wouldn't be true, but in the UK it very much is. Wish it was something to be happy about.

Jesus. With the UK first-past-the-post system this will probably mean a huge parliamentary majority for Reform. It's a disaster honestly. This terrible current government are doing everything that you would need to do to make this happen. It stinks.

I'm excited again about VR in a way I haven't been in a while.

They say they're aiming for it to be cheaper than the Index which is about €800 (without base stations, but with controllers).

This is exactly it! I have a Quest 3, mostly for work, and its the only Meta thing I have and I hate having even that. I'm already sold, if it's not too expensive.

Love Dhal, so many variations and so good! I make it regularly. Often roast some cubed aubergine tossed in oil, salt, pepper and garam masala and pop it on top for a bit of contrasting texture.

Peace reigns. The cat on the left was the new one. The cat on right the objector. Both cats on the right sadly no longer with us. Much loved all.

No growling, no hissing. Everyone relaxed.

When it was better it was obvious. They just weren’t bothered by each other any more.
