Yo dude, that looks great! I'm excited to see what else you come up with! In-game catalogues often have amazing art and you're definitely living up to the expectation.

Thank you! I grew up reading Jane Austen, so I'm not surprised she's bled into my wordcraft.

Elden ring feels gritty and spooky, hollow knight feels quiet and sad, Minecraft feels huge and lonely, barbie horse adventure feels bright and colorful, Mario kart feels exciting and zoomy with a touch of gamer nostalgia.

Each game has a 'feeling' delivered via sight, sound, and touch.

Uhh you could call it vibe, gamefeel, aesthetic, any number of things I suppose. Player experience is a slippery concept, so don't feel bad. Most devs are bsing their way through it anyway. The question you want to answer is 'Is the Player having fun. Why/why not?' and then build up from there.

I find that tags and warnings have their time and place. As with most things, they can both add and subtract from the world they interact with. It is best to use one's own judgement and remember that there will always be someone who disagrees with or feels differently from oneself.

I'm glad you found it helpful! I've been very surprised at how many techniques have translated into Pixel art. That said, it is a very deliberate medium. Each pixel has a place. More traditional art does not have this limitation. You can get away with more general shapes and colors. Just relax, lol

Not boom

That's something I struggle with actually. I had one boom where I was going to explore what my style of spicy writing would be, but I ended up fighting myself over it too much and now I'm not sure lmao
