Ghostbusters. The first one. I had so much of the movie memorized as a kid I could reenact it. I still constantly reference it. In both French and English. It's creepy, even to me.

I have been using subtitles to be able to understand 75% of the dialogue in movies and TV shows for about two decades. The sound effects and background music have been drowning out voices in regular stereo sound at home more and more.
This has been life-changing.

That was Christmas and New Year's in my family. Multiple dinners between one and the other.

My family didn't do Thanksgiving when I was a kid (I'm French Canadian so we don't really celebrate it, culturally), so I can do without. Ours is also a month and a half earlier than in the US. And I worked, this year anyway.

I've lived near a Sikh temple for a few years. They are constantly cooking to provide warm meals to the less fortunate. The cooking onion and curry smells coming from there were amazing.

He has chronic pain, and was leaning on me like a crutch when we posed for a picture. Saw a pic of Jack Quaid with his torso slightly bent from Frakes doing the same to him and thought "Oh, boy do I know what that feels like!" I did feel bad for Frakes though. Photo ops must be hell.
