Seeing some clips of Critical Role and D20 recently just made me realise how heated roleplay moments are meant to be treated.
Multiple times in the past an NPC or something has gone in on my character and there was no check in from anyone else, nobody making sure I, the player was okay.

It's really hard to reconcile actions that former friends took.
Like, I've been thinking about this for the first time in over a month and the only conclusion I can come to is that it was just cruelty or apathy.
Nothing else makes sense.
I am doing so much better without them in my life though.

Update: Puddles is the most perfect cat ever. She is so adorable and is settling in insanely quickly, is so gentle and doesn't knock anything over, she spent like 5 hours today just cuddling on my lap while I was playing games. I swear this cat was like made for me

We adpoted a cat today, her name is Puddles and she's the most adorable thing ever. She's so vocal and already is demanding pets at every possible moment. I love her so much.

It's crazy how not even 5 days of emotional distance from someone makes you see everything that was happening so clearly. I wish I realised all this sooner cause I feel like myself again, not like someone afraid to say anything to anyone out of fear that theyd bite my head off over the tiniest thing

I legitimately feel like there is this giant weight off my shoulders today. Who knew not having 'friends' that treat you terribly is a good thing.
I still don't understand why they didn't expect me to be extremely upset though.

I went to Werribee Zoo today, it was amazing. I did the rhino experience and it was like nothing else I have ever experienced as it was basically private as nobody else booked it lmao. bonus facts about the rhinos in the alt text (the zoo is conservation focused and certified so dw about that part.)
