頭の羽をちょうどいい感じに逆立てたので、普段は隠れている雄コゲラの赤い羽がよく見えた。

頭の羽をちょうどいい感じに逆立てたので、普段は隠れている雄コゲラの赤い羽がよく見えた。

I think they’re Temminck’s Stints and Dunlins, but I really can’t tell with these tiny shorebirds.🙃

オジロトウネンとハマシギだと思うけれど、こうしたちっちゃいシギ類はよくわからん。
I think they’re Temminck’s Stints and Dunlins, but I really can’t tell with these tiny shorebirds.🙃

コンクリ壁に張り付くハクセキレイ。真上から見ることはあまりないけれど、この角度から見ると何となくエナガっぽい雰囲気があるな

熟して落ちたコブシの実。子供の頃はこれを「クマのうんこ」と呼んでいた。サイズは小さいがこの時期の実際クマの💩もこんな感じで、未消化の木の実なんかがそのまま出てきていることが多い。
A ripe kobushi magnolia fruit on the ground. As kids, we called it “bear poop.” Small, but real bear droppings this time of year often look similar, with lots of undigested seeds and fruit mixed in.💩

北海道では見なかった金木犀だけど、こちらでは今まさにあちこちで咲いており辺りを甘い匂いで満たしている。散ったものもあれば咲きかけもあってまだしばらくは楽しめそう。
I never saw fragrant olives in Hokkaido, but here they bloom all over, filling the air with sweet scent. Some have fallen, others are just starting—so we can enjoy them a bit longer.🌸

北海道では見なかった金木犀だけど、こちらでは今まさにあちこちで咲いており辺りを甘い匂いで満たしている。散ったものもあれば咲きかけもあってまだしばらくは楽しめそう。

川沿いを散歩していたら出会ったハク、キ、セグロのセキレイの３種。北海道では同じ場所では見なかったけど、都会の川はやっぱ生息密度が高いんだべか。
Took a walk along the river and ran into three kinds of wagtails—White, Grey, and Japanese. I never saw them all in one place back in Hokkaido. Maybe city rivers are just more densely populated?🐦🐦🐦
