My first article is out (!!!) it’s a collaborative piece I wrote last year with @sophiemng.bsky.social about moments of recorded excess, laughter, fuck-ups and longing gazes. It’s a short epistolary article and I’d love for you all to read it. I’m so excited to have it out in the world!

The Trump admin hasn’t accused Mahmoud Khalil of committing a crime. But they’ve labeled his speech a threat and targeted him for deportation.

This is a clear 1st Amendment violation. I stand with Mahmoud, and anyone who cares about our constitutional rights should too.
Per his attorneys, Mahmoud Khalil asked to address the court at his immigration hearing today, where a judge gave the green light to the Trump admin to deport him.

“This is exactly why the Trump administration has sent me to this court, 1,000 miles away from my family.”
