I love fantasy and sci-fi, and the Young Wizards series is both, and High Wizardry has always stood out among that series as my favorite. Love a story about a little sister who wants to make a huge difference in the world, by being smart, kind, and believing she can do it. #Bookvember

I gotta share two. Two books I wish I could reach back through time and hand to my younger self. Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, and Technically You Started It by Lana Wood Johnston. The Jewish fantasy adventure and the demisexual coming-of-age story I truly needed. #Bookvember

Here’s one I loved recently - Refusing Compulsory Sexuality by Sherronda J. Brown. Fantastically clear explanations of complicated truths, connecting experiences I’m familiar with to a whole world beyond my own. #Bookvember

Anything by Patricia Polacco, including Mrs. Katz and Tush. Something about the painterly style, the muted colors giving even modern stories an age-old feeling, the fullness of the characters’ faces bringing out their emotions… I remember feeling sort of haunted at the same time as loving it.

I love this question. Can’t pick an absolute favorite, but here’s one I’m very fond of that wound up in my book, Enigma and Other Aromantic Asexual Love Poems:

Does it count if the wedding happens in flashback or during a timeskip? I’m deciding it does in the name of getting BINGO!! 😂 I’m not at my laptop at the moment but I’ll share a snippet when I can.

Can’t put that many pictures on one post, so let’s take the protagonists of Legend of 5 one at a time:

Today I learned that someone went to Star Wars Celebration and cosplayed Geode from The High Republic

From Paz's point of view - and part of a conversation/argument that continues throughout the book, about how people decide who or what is "important." #QueerWritersChat #asexual #aromantic

It’s here! I’m honored to have an essay in this brand new journal, The Jewish Asexuality Anthology. What a wonderful opportunity to explore some of my experiences with this particular overlap of identities - an overlap I share with ten other writers featured here. #writers #jewish #asexual

With Andor Season 2 just a week away, my girlfriend and I put our heads together and made a predictions bingo card.

Frankly I will be very surprised if we got any of this right. We’re excited regardless!!

Such a shame that a woman whose work meant so much to so many, myself included, has turned out to be such a bully. Can’t say I’m honored to have my comminity added to her hit list.
