The newsroom Bezos once poured money into and celebrated as a proud achievement already lost 400 people in the last three years.

Thankful today I’ve been able to contribute to The Atlantic, a magazine I admire greatly which employs writers I admire even more. My latest: on my son’s favorite books, and their delightful author.

A local bakery sells frozen uncooked falafel, so I got a pack to try. I pan fried these in just a half tablespoon of oil, and they turned out so great (I often find the local deep fried falafel too greasy).

Also got the pita bread from them.
