Back in grey cold NL. What a privilege that the women I met and know shared their spaces and lives so generously with me. I was invited to the most inspiring spaces which showed me how positive change can look like. Something desperately needed in the times we live.

Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to get to know two communities in and close to Cali. Thanks again for inviting me. Both communities are extremely inspiring and show us how to create communities of care, something I hope I will be able to explore more in the future with colleagues in Cali.

What an amazing workshop we had today in Medellin. It was great to be together again, share our achievements of the last years and think about future work on the role of women in urban transformations. Thanks to everyone who participated and I am looking forward working with you in the future!

First time in Cali. I cannot explain why yet but I immediately liked the city upon arrival. Rarely have that. After 15 years coming to Colombia it did surprise me how different Cali is and yet so familiar. Looking forward to explore more and build a network here. Give me a shout if you are around!

Stop the cuts!
Higher education in the Netherlands is going red today.

Last week we were on the Malieveld with 20,000+ people. Our message to politicians was: 'don't do it!'.

On the 14th November we come together to protest the education government cuts of the NL government. Come and join us in Utrecht 1-3PM, students and staff. We need the numbers. Those cuts will affect all of us, directly or indirectly in the future!!!

#MorningRun in Utrecht. In summer this city is even more beautiful. Still amazed about the changes the city did to make life more green, bike friendly & liveable. It makes such a difference that I am surprised other countries/ cities don’t follow the example. E.g. London😉

Yesterday’s run was with sun at the beach of #HolyIsland. And then I finally got to see those cuties #puffins!!!!
Going back home today after week of presenting research, writing and sharing and developing future ideas… 🤓

Beautiful #Utrecht with sun. #MorningRun in still new home.
Love the variety of running I can do here from city runs like these to amazing forests a short drive away.

On my way to #London to meet @SophieL_Stevens, Verena Frick and Henriette Bertram to work on our @BritishAcademy_ funded project. I am also looking forward to some time at @CityCorpHeath #HampsteadHeath and meeting friends which makes working most of next weekend worth it 😊

It feels like the worst is over and spring is coming. Flowers coming up everwhere and trees are starting to change. And while cold there is finally more sun again. #Utrecht #MorningRun

Good morning 2024. Favourite 12k for the traditional 1st Jan run @hampsteadheath. Hoping for better times

I struggle with end of Dec, Jan & Feb. I hate the dark times ,wet weather, wind combination but mostly with the lack of light hours. My insomnia is worst those months. The only thing that keeps me positive when not sleeping during those times is #running. Still I cannot wait until Feb is over.
