Even more so, some of us may not subscribe to a specific religion, but are happy to celebrate all the holidays. Especially if food is involved.

In Portland can they say "so help me Frog"?

Actually Quercus Berberidifolia (California scrub Oak) will handle zone 7. But I do agree with your idea of looking for local natives first. I'm also surprised that you have zone 8B / 9A in BC. I'm in the SF Bay area and I'm in 9B. I have ~300 Oaks in my backyard of many species. Most are evergreen.

Have you considered Quercus Berberidifolia (California scrub Oak)? Or any of the other shrub/scrub evergreen Oaks that are native to California?

The berries can also be used in cooking. They are a great enhancement to sauces.

Actually that is an opossum. Opossums are in North America. Possums are found in Australia.

It is time to take a strong stand against illegal deployment of the national guard or military. Have we already forgotten 1933?

This is so true. It is all a distraction. By picking groups that we'll have a hard time defending themselves, piling on false claims, they are uniting uneducated masses using hatred.

Love the concept, but how would it work? Is it doable?

Hoping to put a Manzanita in my front yard. I am thinking that it would be trained as a small tree with a single trunk or three trunks, but mostly to feature and show off the bark. Ideally it would be one who's mature height would be maintainable with a step stool at the most.

Any suggestions?

I thought they were considered summer deciduous or drought deciduous, meaning that is actually signaling summer or lack of water. Quercus Douglasii or blue Oak behaves similarly.

Many experts have described this as malignant narcissism. People with this condition are very dangerous. They don't actually see other people as human beings, just in terms of whether they are obstacles or beneficial. And that can shift in the blink of an eye as it did with the fake founder.

One of my favorite Oaks.

had the argument with my city trying to Levy fines because I chose to grow natives or food. They dislike both until confronted directly. I had them come over and ask them to point to plants they disliked and identify them. They backed down.

what is the best source? I'm in the US if that matters.

Even sadder, the main purpose of these cuts is to find money to give tax breaks to the ultra rich. People will die to make the rich richer.

But it looks like they didn't pay attention to their own report did they?

Ancho chili powder, pasilla negro chili powder, fresh Rosemary from the garden (obviously followed by other fresh chilis or herbs from the garden)

You've convinced me. For years I've been considering buying some of those cut resistant gloves. I think the time is now. Hoping your healing goes well and the pain diminishes rapidly.

I like. Think I will give it a spin. Much appreciate the tip.
