The story of the Aggett clan’s Oregon Trail-esque from Scotland to Kenya was engagingly told, though between this and Elephant Whisper it does leave me wanting for more Native/Indigenous African (is that the right term?) perspectives. I’ll hunt later, feel free to shoot recs

The Childhood Memories were sweet and felt Special, and I liked the snapshot of living in Kenya at that time. The connection in her childhood wonder and her mother's ecological wisdom that no doubt shaped her was beautiful, and the antidote about her experience with the (1/2)
