Upcoming mayoral elections campaigns are on, at a P.R. level. There's this R.N. (far-right) candidate (put there from Paris, with bald head and attitude), who announced that, should he win the local town's elections, he would cut off all public yearly grants to local associations and charities. 🙄

U.K. friends. A friend of mine in Wales is in dire need of legal representation in the next couple of days, ideally someone pro-bono. Do any of you peeps have someone to recommend? Family law specialty would be ideal. I'm contacting a Citizen Advice for him tomorrow, but it's a matter of urgency. 😱

Last night was a boardgame session of Forest Shuffle. Nice discovery, plenty of ways to mark points with cards combinations. Didn't do badly for a first-timer. 🙂👍

This morning's therapy: turns out I don't have depression, which is a huge relief. 👍 So we go straight to EMDR therapy for working on flashbacks issues. In the meantime, I'll keep practicing mindfulness and positive memories reprogramming until not needed anymore. 🙂 It's already helping a lot.

Since Sherlock Holmes started the trend of serialised investigative fiction (in literature), it's rather logical to find the country is besotted with the same as tv shows and movies. Glad to know real life events are far and few. If they were much more numerous, I'd be extremely worried.
The UK is within spitting distance of having more murders portrayed annually on TV shows and movies set in the country than occur in real life
It's so incredible how low homicide rates are in Europe. The UK, with a population of 70 million people, had fewer than 600 murders in 2023.
