Women's health and ethnic inequalities panel at The Labour Party conference

Our conversation was honest and upfront about the realities of where we are and how far we still need to go.

But also practical and optimistic, with evidence and policy recommendations to address the health inequities

Demand for the weight loss jabs is soaring, and I understand why.

In the food environment we live in, it's a constant uphill battle to maintain a healthy weight.

Our supermarkets are flooded with food engineered to make you crave more

Food advertised as healthy often isn't

I spoke to Austrian News about my disappointment with European leaders.

Across Europe and globally, there is a rise in far-right politics, with an associated resurgence of anti-abortion activism

In America and elsewhere, we have seen laws introduced to stop women from accessing abortion care

Three weeks today, parliament voted to stop the criminalisation of women—the most significant change in abortion law in 60 years

At a time when we have at US president rolling back reproductive rights in America and abroad, the vote sent an important signal to the world that we are pro-choice

Tomorrow, MPs will be voting on the #AssistedDyingBill

I believe at the end of life, everyone deserves choice

Everyone deserves to die with care and dignity

I urge our politicians, to not take the easy option

We can do so much better for dying people

Wow, What a day!! 🤩

Yesterday's vote marked the most significant shift in abortion law in 60 years

A huge step forward for women’s reproductive rights

The landmark vote was the result of SO many people campaigning for many years

Grateful to every single person that has helped make this happen 🙏🏾

Record numbers of women in this country are being investigated and prosecuted for suspected illegal abortions

🚨Tomorrow, MPs will be voting on an amendment that could end this

Women need support and compassion, NOT prosecution

Why did people vote for reform?

Policies that fail to address the underlying reasons as to why people are so (understandably) angry

Will lead to further disenchantment in the long term

It is heartbreaking

As a doctor, it feels so frustrating to see my patients get sick as a result of cold homes and poverty.

This shouldn't be happening in the UK.
March 4, 2025 at 2:46 PM
I see this almost every day in my clinic.

Children are getting breathing problems due to living in cold, damp housing.

I have elderly patients telling me they can't afford to put the heating in.

Loneliness touches many of us.

It is something I see in my clinic every day. It has a huge impact on health and well-being.

Yet, it is often not discussed in politics or public life.

Join us to discuss practical solutions and policy recommendations

To relieve the loneliness epidemic
