On this day in 1971, the Carpenters released their iconic self-titled album—home to “Superstar,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” and “For All We Know.” Karen’s voice, that tan cover, and those timeless melodies made it a classic the moment the needle dropped.

Let’s be clear: that’s not about decorum, it’s about fear. Y’all can’t defend your law-breaking, Constitution-violating President, so now you’re trying to silence us instead. Nice try. But we’re not going anywhere—and neither is the truth about your corrupt leader.

Trying to keep the sense of humor for a colonoscopy this week. After going through the c word, I don't mind it necessarily; the age has been reduced from 50 to 45, which is a good thing. I will do all the preventative stuff, like I said. Not thrilled about having to second guess peanut butter

A character doesn't belong to a fan or stan. A character belongs to its creator and more people should keep that in mind when engaging with works of fiction. It's better to try to understand the creators intent rather than inserting and projecting yourself into the work.

The reason why I cry listening to these old songs isn't because I want to return to the past.

It's through music that I get to bear witness to all my past selves. I can see the girl and woman I used to be. She doesn't know I'm there.

I know my future self is here, right now, watching these tears.

If you think a just-fertilized ovary is entitled to life but are indifferent to what happens to a kidnapped 4-year-old with cancer, sent to a dangerous country without meds, you don’t give a fuck about the lives of children. You are just in a cult that fetishizes being against abortions.
