Well, this is fucked up and depressing.

Remember when we used to laugh at people who didn’t know basic shit about government? And them run them out of the government?

Those were good times.

There are very few things I’d want to do LESS than swim in water infested with E. coli bacteria

This is disgusting
RFK Jr. celebrated on Sunday by taking shirtless selfies and swimming in an E. coli-ridden, sewage-infested creek where swimming, notably, has been banned by the National Park Service, thanks to the whole...poop water issue.

I also had to go check this. I’m still not 100% sure this isn’t a parody account.

But, my god, man. Have some self-respect. This is so embarrassing and pathetic.
Despite seeing several people I totally trust say this was real I still felt I had to verify it with my own eyes. And having done so I still can't believe it's real.

There is an imminent threat to healthcare coverage for literally tens of millions of Americans, which is being posed by the budget resolution recently passed by House Republicans. From @charlesgaba.com

Republicans have decided which 21 million Americans should lose their healthcare.
As regular readers know, I've been a bit obsessed over the past month or so with generating pie charts which break out the total healthcare program enrollment for the entire population of all 435 U.S....

LOL, she nailed it
It’s not complex. People can see with their eyes. He’s repellent to voters due to a toxic combination of exhausting amounts of cringe (see cheese head hat), desperate thirstiness (that fatal “hey, look at me mommy” vibe) and irritating arrogance (he’s not even from this school)

Composer Maurice Ravel was born on 7 March 1875. His music is a magical, often witty and always gorgeously-crafted adventure. For me the work that perfectly sums up his art is Daphnis. If you were only allowed ONE single disc of Ravel, which would it be? Here’s mine. #Ravel150

Listened to this today. Absolutely gorgeous! Could have used a bit more passion from the choir, but the orchestra was superb. Beautiful recording
#NowSpinning Excited by this one! Pappano’s new Daphnis et Chloé. I have heard nothing about it yet, but it’s Pappano and the LSO. An orchestra with a clear pedigree in Ravel!

I have decided to restart reading “War and Peace” this year. I got about 200 pages into it in 2021. But I stopped when life re-started post-COVID. Gong to try to read at least 20 pages a day. Wondering if I should re-start even though I do remember what happened. #booksky
